Scene I · The fog field
A shape that breathes in the fog.
The first light does not come from above but from the ground: a twisted, warm ribbon holding its own breath. Bring the cursor closer; it turns to follow you.
The ribbon has lit up. The fog around it warms and steps back.
Touch the ribbon or press Enter on it

About the experience
Lumen Fields, in short.
An experimental digital experience built as an example website: three scenes with objects drawn in CSS, fog on a single canvas and a light that follows the cursor. No 3D libraries and no WebGL, so it also runs on a modest phone; with the “reduced motion” preference on, the scenes become still images and the navigation remains.
Start again from the top- 3D objects made of CSS layers, rotated by the cursor, by dragging or from the keyboard
- Fog and particles on a single 2D canvas, paused when off screen
- Navigation by buttons, arrow keys and scrolling, with a progress indicator
- Respects the reduced-motion preference and text contrast
Lumen Fields is not a real product; the scenes are illustrations for this example website.
